"In 1989 I began a four year program at the
Alberta College of Art majoring in ceramics. It was there I build the foundation
I needed to become a full-time artist working mainly in clay but also drawing
and painting. Having grown up in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains near
Millarville, Alberta, I have drawn my inspirations for my pieces from the
natural beauty that surrounded me. The seasonal changes to the landscape,
textures, patterns, colours, and contrasts have all been instrumental in
the development of my pots, drawings, and paintings.
My husband and I along with our two children
now reside on our farm south of Fort Macleod, Alberta. I will continue
to work as an artist using the landscape, livestock and agricultural community
as my inspiration."
