A Summer Afternoon - Banff Station
On the eve of the change-over from steam to diesel-electric power, some 8 to 10 trains per day rolled through Banff National Park on Canadian's Pacific Transcontinental line carrying travelers and mail. In a scene from that era, a pair of female elk vie for attention with the big Selkirk locomotive at the station platform.
