James C. Christensen

James C. Christensen
Inspired by the world's myths, fables, and tales of imagination, Christensen wants his work to add up to more than a beautiful, if sometimes "curious" looking work of art. Recently retired as a professor of art at Brigham Young University for over 20 years. Christensen continues to be a "Professor of Imagination." Jim has recently been honored with a commission from the LDS church to paint a mural in its new Salt Lake City conference center. Jim's 9' X 33' painting will celebrate the Arts and Spirit. Christensen has also been commissioned to create the 40th anniversary poster art for the 2001 Utah Shakespearean Festival. He believes that teaching people to use their imagination helps us find solutions to soothe the stresses of every day life - or get a little lift to help us keep going. In short: All things are possible when you share Christensen's philosophy that "Believing is Seeing."
