"A Campfire and Hard Times "20" X 27" Edition Qty. 135 A/P 20 Canvas Giclee 30" X 40" Qty. 95 A/P 20 In the depression years of the 1930's, many unemployed men traveled about the country in search of whatever work they could find. Freight trains provided a means of transportation. Though dangerous and uncomfortable and actively discouraged by railway police, there was no fare to pay. On a moonlit evening, three travelers settle around a campfire as a train rumbles across a coulee on a wooden trestle. A walk into town in the morning may result in a few hours of work or an outbound freight may carry them to another place and another campfire.
