Born in 1958, Greg Olsen was raised in a rural Idaho farming community.
His artist parents recognized and encouraged their son's early love of
drawing; an affinity that grew thanks to the dedication of a devoted high
school art teacher. After studying at Utah State University, Olsen worked
as an illustrator before beginning to paint full time.
He enjoys rendering
works with a sense of permanence. His oil paintings are included in the
collections of many major corporations, religious institutions and private
individuals. They have been exhibited in prominent art galleries and in
numerous one-man exhibitions throughout the U.S. and Canada.
